Cambridge, southwestern Nebraska
Your mother-in-law is a blessing! 2 months will help a LOT! Having a nanny will also help.
I was home more but gone part of the day. I may have spent a third more time during the day at home. I would go out when baby and mother were sleeping. Helped more around the house. My mother-in-law also helped for the first week or so.
I'd say if you need to be gone half days that everyone else should be able to cover for you.
Sounds like you really need to have better help and prioritize your business and your life. If 60 hours a week is needed in the slow time, are you even home during your busy time? You can work yourself to death and what good would that do your wife and kids unless you have a very good life insurance policy?
