I'm not as busy as you but it made myself phone available to my employees after the first two days and clients to first week. By the middle of the second week we had things down and I just kinda naturally started back to work a bit and slowly ramped back up. Just made sure to get home earlier and keep my phone on me.
I think it is different with every child and every wife. Be willing, flexible, and helpful and it will work itself out.
