S Illinois | They still are pretty poor at growing corn when it comes to yield at least compared to the US as a whole. Brazil corn averages sub 100 bpa and in a few years their yields are half of what the US averages.
They just have a ton of acres and like wheat/DC beans in the US, the corn and beans crops complement each other so that neither crop has to carry all the production costs for the year. | |
