EC SoDak | What will be interesting, at least in my area, is most of the land has been purchased by investors, mainly in that 12-16k range. That’s $480-640 rent per acre at 4% ROI minus property taxes, but assuming they paid cash for it. ouch… When we get more in those 2014-2020 grain prices, you’re looking at $250-350 rents in my area it seemed.
How well are these investors going to react to more normal rents and likely around 2% ROI? It will be interesting times and tough negotiations I think…
