Subject: Planting into rye

Northeast iowa
To make a long story short, I ended up renting a field this spring that has a rye cover crop. It was beans last and the owner wants me to no till corn and dosen't allow nh3 on his farm. I have never delt with rye and have always applied anhydrous and dry fert in the fall and sidedressed liquid in season, this farm is to steep to sidedress with my pull type. I'm looking for suggestions on how to go about getting my fertilizer applied. I was thinking of using uan with my burn down and having the rest of my n put on with urea and a high boy in season or possibly putting all of my n,p,k on pre plant with a floater not crazy about this idea put would be the quickist and easiest. This will also just be a one year deal as the lad owner wants to get it into the crp program. I also just have in furrow on my planter and will talk to my agronomist on what he recommends but was looking for real world experience. Thanks for any advice you may have!
