Do you have any experience planting into rye? How is your planter equipped (row cleaners, coulters, etc.)?

Hard to say what I'd do without knowing the specifics of the lease, but I'd probably run my P in-furrow and call that good unless you have a soil test that shows serious deficiencies. I like what you said about running UAN with your burndown. I'd want to get that rye killed and decomposing ASAP if you plan to spin on your N at sidedress. I really think you need to find a coulter machine of some sort that can get it in the ground as there might be a pretty good mat of rye covering the soil.
