Because it’s one year, no P&K

Apply 75 units of N at planting to make sure you have some N available for corn and it’s not tied up decomposing the rye. Apply balance of N at V5. Doing this you will not see yield loss from the rye decomposing

I would use UAN as nitrogen source as you said ground is steep and I have seen urea floated downhill when getting a hard rain before it’s melted. If you use stream bars at V5 you will not burn the corn significantly. You can also run drop hoses down the middle with your sprayer. I’ve done it both ways and had very good luck.
