WC Iowa- mostly river bottom | Corn on corn has worked until this year and it's a disaster this year. I'd say if you are in a high rainfall area or get dependable rains go for it but if you're in the western corn belt, have normally spotty rainfall and don't have irrigation, forget it. sooner or later it will eat you up. I figure, let everyone else raise the corn for ethanol, beans will be worth more because there will be fewer planted. This year my beans will beat some of my corn on corn. |
