What in the heck is the point of owning a grain cart if you are going to park it at the end of the field?  You can park a TRUCK at the end of the field if you want to have your combine pulled out of the crop nearly 50% of the time it is running.  Realistically that is not a viable option in most cases.

 

Everyone here knows what grain carts are for and how important they are to getting any sort of reasonable field efficiency.   Why not accept the necessity and move on to minimizing the damage they cause by minimizing the amount of grain they are carrying at any time and maximizing the contact patch they are sitting on.   A combine with a full 400 bu bin is going to be a far worse compaction threat then a tracked cart carrying 600 bu or a cart with appropriate tires carrying 400 bu.
