Why not just use a second grain truck in this scenario instead of a cart? Would save another augering of the corn. Cost of a cheap truck to haul from field only might be similar to cost of owning cart and putting hours on your tractor? Would save the trucker time by not having to auger, and not have to move the cart down the line a little each time.

This no cart in the filed argument is a little hard for me to see also. It's the same weight of corn in the field, just more area it is spread over with a cart. I can see where it could still cause problems, but if you can catch while running in the combine's previous tracks then you shouldn't have much of an issue. Seems the usually quoted statistic is that 70-80% of the soil compaction occurs on the first pass. If it's a heavy combine on the first pass and a lighter cart on the second, I bet you'd see even less compaction the second time over.
