| Your exactly right on the compaction issue Mark. The way I see it grain carts don't create compaction, weight does and a properly setup grain cart is going to cause less compaction than just about any other method of getting grain out of the field that I can think of. The empty weight of our tractor and cart combined are about equal to what our combine weights but they've got almost twice as much tire on the ground so nobody can tell me that they are going to cause more compaction than the combine is if used with some common sense. | |
