Subject: What is considered low carb

Pittsburg, Kansas
20 grams or less will have just about everyone in nutritional ketosis. So would be considered low carb ketogenic.

Generally speaking anything under about 100 or 120 grams per day is considered low carb.

The standard American diet is around 300 grams carbs per day. Add a bunch of soda pop or deserts or candy and a person can pretty easily get to 500 grams carbs a day. And that is a bunch.

20 grams is VERY restrictive. Wife and I have been at that level for 5 years now come February 1. With a handful of exceptions along the path.
