Subject: Circle of life

I remember the last big ethanol push. Check back to 1980. Seems fuel prices were skyrocketing, trouble in the Middle East, and we had a plan to break energy dependence. Local ethanol plant got mothballed in around 84 or 85 after years of red ink.

Fast forward. See above.

Everyone needs to proceed with caution. I would not make any long range plans based on ethanol or bio fuels.

Americans, in general, lack the "stick with it gene". They worship short-term gains so if prices of oil fall they will forget bios. They also lack the "big picture" gene. They only see the price at the pump, not the total cost of dealing with the Middle East.

My opinion, worth no more or less than others.

Now that Earl sure could tell a joke.................................................(:
