SC MN | I serve on our counties planning and zoning commission, and we've had a few people apply to use old barns as wedding venues. Main areas of concern I see are increased traffic in the area, dust control if located on a gravel road, loud music outside the venue, and adequate parking area and adequate all condition surface on the lot. Really haven't heard much concern about people "wandering off" onto other peoples property.
Another concern which our county doesn't deal with (state code or regulations) is building capacity as far as fire safety. | |
