Ontario | Yes, a wedding venue built on the farm next to my commercial livestock facility, well it's really farm credit's, but they let me work there :) Ag is number one in our county so I did prepare a written comment while the wedding venue's application was before municipal council. I wrote in support of the application, but reminded council that manure, dust, flies, and noise are all part of normal farm practices. The owners are a young family and great to work with and considerate of other property owners. We work together around their events and manure application - works just fine. Though this year they are trying fireworks, so will see how that goes. Guessing the fireworks are going to be a problem, but I'll just camp out in the barn that night and see how it goes. If fireworks are a problem, we will have a very civil discussion. Always easiest to try and live at peace with everyone as far as it is in your control, fighting just takes too much effort.
