Conger, MN | I'd recommend a significant buffer zone, ideally with heavy vegetation.
Having a fancy wedding venue with nice landscaping right next to ag fields will result in some conflict over the years, even if everyone is super neighborly.
Smell and noise have been mentioned. How about:
Chemical drift -- minor drift that can be remedied by paying a neighbor a bit of money for lost yield is different than replacing 40 new spruce trees.
Corn Stover -- My family lives in the country, abutting row crop fields on two sides. We've spent countless hours dealing wind blown corn stover that comes into our yard. Not a huge deal. However, if that happens in the days leading up to a big wedding, someone is likely to be unhappy about it.
Dust -- freshly tilled field . . .dry conditions . . . wind from the wrong direction. Again, someone unhappy.
If I were the OP, I'd want to see the site plan for the wedding venue to see what type of a buffer zone they are planning. | |
