I am going to be a touch different in this reply. Let me assure you an estate settlement is NOT to way to do a business ownership change. Oh boy will the tax people and attorneys love you. My father would not let go, it turned into a mess. What does family want? What do YOU want? Sit down now with some good solid estate and financial planners. Is a real estate transfer possible?
