I thought you had some serious family issues you weren't telling us about. It is an absurd thought to me that you would split up with your dad because you are arguing about tillage and fertilizer application techniques.
I am also 33 and I would give my left arm to see my grandpa come pulling into the farm again, to tell us everything we were doing wrong. He's been gone for almost 10 years.
