Southern Missouri | Soybean desication has become the normal here and it’s never about being able to harvest earlier, it’s about being able to grind out the butter beans that if you wait in the rest are 8 or 9 percent, we desicate at what would probably be about 15 percent or 16 percent and by the time they are 13 percent the butter beans shrink incredibly fast and will hull out , we do nearly ever acre now and used to do zero but got tired of harvesting and storing and hauling in 8 percent beans , it sure works for us , I feel like the further you go south the worse butter bean problem there is but I certainly don’t know that | |
