Holland, Indiana (SW IN)
Start at 18% green soybeans and.all run through dryer come out at 14-15%— when it rains cut the next day — can harvest reweted soybeans at over 18% easily dry and put in bins with full floors and big fans only run fans 10 PM to 8 AM
Mix all soybeans together in bins usually come out 12-13%

We plant shorter season (2.7) first then different maturity finishing with 4.5 maturity

Need a Draper head, machine set up right and Hp —add extra days to harvest
Start early in the day harvest until will not work start early next day
If we waited for moisture to be close enough to haul straight to market we’d never get done

I would hate to coordinate 2 combines with our spread out smaller farms

Works for us

Dan

Add we will harvest 2000 acres on about 20 farms with one 40’ machine this year— waiting for the perfect moisture wouldn’t work perfect

No one in our area finishes off the soybeans with Paraquat that might have merit to eliminate butter beans early
