SW Central Illinois
Granted we don’t farm as many acres, but we have managed cut almost all our beans from 14-12.5% moisture. I feel that’s where opportunities of our increased bean yields have came from. Going to a rotor combine several years ago has helped us for bean harvest timing.
Have you thought about putting up a decent sized bin with the temp/moisture cables in, and let it manage your bean moisture in the bin? Know a guy that every load out of a 60,000 bu bin came out @ 13-13.5 moisture.

I would say plant a larger spread of maturities. Last year we planted a 2.8- 4.2. (4.2 was a tad long).
Dan send me an email [email protected]. Can send you some more ideas/links.
