Jim,

You brought up a good question I have had. I have my combine front and rear tires set to run between rows. I have 28 inch wide tires and I run a 6 row corn head. I thought that was good because it left every stank standing. But from a compaction point I guess I have to look at which is the lesser of 2 evils-more residue in the row or compaction? I guess I wasn't too concerned on the compaction as I run the anyhydrous bar pretty deep down between the rows.

When I put down anhydrous and I take out 4 of 12 rows then, and when I plant in the spring I run the tractor on top of the same.
