Driftless SW Wisconsin | I'm not sure I understand your question completely, except for the concern about tire damage driving on bean stubble. One option is to follow a system where you are never driving on bean stubble.
In a 50/50 corn/bean rotation using our strip till system it is preferable to have the combine tires set to run on some multiple of the 30" row spacing, usually 120".
The first year your combine ideally runs on top of the just-harvested corn stalks. The tractor and strip till rig run on the same just-harvested corn stalks either in the fall or spring making strips for the beans between the corn rows.
The second year the combine and tractor/strip till rig run on top of the now 2-year old corn stalks, making a strip for the next corn crop right over the top of the bean row. We can make a nice strip right over the top of the bean row, usually in the spring to minimize erosion over the winter. Many customers do make strips over bean stubble in the fall however.
The third you move over 15" and drive on the corn stalks again.
Basically you are always driving on corn stalks, not bean stubble. In a 50/50 rotation you move over 15" every two years rather than every year as in a corn on corn system. As long as your tires are less than 60" wide you will never be on top of bean stubble. Leaving the corn stalks long driving on them can have benefits as mentioned above.
