Subject: RE: Combine tire spacing for strip till

Your post about driving on the corn rows with the combine took be back to '92 when we had a wet fall. At the time we had a 1440 with a 4-36 corn head and the combine drove right over rows one and four. We would get along pretty good in the mud until we got on the side of a terrace or a sharp curve where the drive tires would get off the corn rows and then the combine would drop to the frame in mud.
