Saginaw Valley, Michigan | I can understand your situation. I am/was a small acreage farmer and retired at the end of last year. I decided to offer all my ground to 3 different farmers. The oldest farmer is 35, the youngest about 28. Lots of big operations all around me too. The young guys were having a hard time picking up any ground at all. One of the big operators hasn't talked to me since. Who will farm in the future if the younger ambitious guys don't have the opportunity to grow? | |
