Central Wi | We to have the bto next door. Sends letters to every landowner in a 10 mile radius. I landed myself in the hospital for almost 3 weeks a few years ago. He messaged me via FB twice trying to get me to sell a 100 acre field I bought. So I wouldn't have to worry about it. His kids are buying up land now and taking government money and only one of them even farms. I've managed to add a little hear and there. Pushing 650 plus dads 325 or so. Once he slows down I'll let a couple pieces go that are farther away. I bought into the steers a few years ago. Dad was feeding 50 or 60 a year. We are 50/50 now and feeding 150 plus a year. Thinking about adding another 50 head building this spring. The way I see it is if I can make $100 plus a steer it's as good as another acre of grain. The bto's around here aren't interested in livestock. | |
