Huron county Mi
I’m about the same age and we are in the same boat. I’ve run ads in the local newspaper right along side the big guys( my cousins). They will get the phone call before I do just due to name recognition.

I grow rye to sell for cover crop, custom plant a couple hundred acres of corn, custom spray 400 acres, and the best money maker so far has been our homemade tile plow. Try finding something that can set you apart from the big operations.

I have been working at the local factory for the last twenty years to boot. I refuse to give up on farming, as it is more rewarding than the factory will ever be. Sure I could sell it all and live the rest of my days at the golf course. However if I did that my little guy would never get his opportunity to farm. That is not something I am willing to do. Keep your chin up and keep fighting the good fight.
