You saying 4 newer diesel pickups is not the norm?
On our 3.0L going from 60mph roads to 75 mph drops economy from 28-30 to 20-22. I see a similar difference with 6.6L pulling livestock trailer dropping from 13 to 11. Wind resistance spikes with speed.
