Anything that my gasser won't handle gets hooked to a Class 8.
So what you are perfect candidate for an EV. Your Class 8 should easily hold enough fuel for a 600-1000 mile road trip and will easily pull any trailer you have. Sounds like since you don't want and EV that they must be bad so no one should own one.
