| that's the misery of a vehicle with traction/stability control.. you CAN'T intentionally get one 'bent out of shape' to see how it responds, or practice what it takes to recover. The 'computer' won't allow it. So when it happens in REAL life, all you CAN do is hang on for dear life. I always took out a new purchase and intentionally got a 'feel' for it.. it's tendencies, and get a feel for when it's about to get out of hand.. THEN what it takes to bring it back. No more.
Sure, the statistics will say they are 'smarter/safer' for the average nut behind the wheel, but the 'average nut' is far less a DRIVER than just 20 yrs. ago.. It's like they've created a whole new mindset/capability group of 'steering wheel holders' with today's tech and 'distractions' inside the vehicle.
