I think that buying/selling by seed count rather than bu/ac into focus for all involved. we're all good at putting so many seed per acre down for corn or soybeans, but I do believe we do not focus on seed counts and population enough on wheat, oats, alfalfa and other small seeds. Seed count is fair, as long as the germ and vigor of the seed is there and the seed performs well when put through the drill. I think that consumer (grower) demand will sort out seed companies that consistently sell seed that is not sized well for the drill, and I think most seed companies are keeping good tabs on germ & vigor.
Bottom line...I like it so mush, I hope it gets into the small grains sector.
How does TUA work out on this?
