Isn't that how they bag corn? First they compute seeds per lb (actually-I believe a lab counts seeds in 100 grams....maybe more-that's what the lab showed me) then they transform that weight in to 80,000 seeds. The bags are filled by weight. I'm betting very few seed corn bags have 80,000.00000 kernels in them...but they're pretty close. Probably have to be by law. Even w/PP corn seed sizes.

Or-am I totally wrong on this? Do they now have Spanish folks sitting there counting the corn kernels?

But again-I'm taking the viewpoint of not caring how many seeds are in a bag-bucket-probox, minibulk, or whatever. We just want to pay for a specific number of seeds & have that number (within reason) delivered. It doesn't work that way presently w/many companies. We plant seeds/A here. We try for as much accuracy as possible. We calibrate the planter-calibrate the scale-we do all we can.
