Greene County, Illinois
I prefer the 50# bags as opposed to heavier bags, if I'm not buying bulk. I guess I'm the oddball in that I like to plant the larger seeds. I no-till, and I've seen several years, like this year, when it's very cool and the larger seeds have more push to keep coming out of the ground and I get a better final stand than the smaller seeded varities, so my actual per acre seed cost (i.e. established stand) is less. I used bean meters, and I won't be off very many bags, once I know the seed count. I plant 162,000 in 15" rows.
