buying soybean seed by seed count or 50 lb.

My point is you can't count the seeds. No one can unless you count every seed that goes through a seed plant. If they did count every seed can you imaging the investment they would have to make and the end costs you'd be paying? The companies selling seed by seed count today are selling it based off the seed count estimates they used in years past. The fact is whether you buy by the count or buy it by the weight the seed count is computed the same way and is not even close to perfect. If by buying seeds by the seed count makes you sleep better at night go for it. The accuracy of the seed count for that bag is no more accurate that the one on the 50lb bag.

Now if you were arguing the cost side of this I think by discounting large seeded lots we could accomplish that easier than bagging by counts.
