I prefer to buy by the 50 pound unit. When I first started farming, I bought certified seed by the bushel, 60# per unit. Companies switched to 50# units but did not lower the price. By taking smaller seed, I get more value. My dealers will give me the smaller seed if they have it. The only advantage of buying by seed count is that you can get real close on your seed order. I have no problem getting extra seed if I need it or returning extra seed.
