NE Indiana | My wife and I both attended a Catholic elementary school. That school has sort of turned into a rich school, and our daughter attends a different school than the one we went to. I guess we were just sort of drawn back.
From talking to others, the main difference that I can see is that the parents are involved and the teachers are dedicated. You don't see many parents who pay tuition who become complacent about their kids education.
The kids go to church twice a week and have religion class every day. This is worth a fortune to me, as their seems to be an attempt to remove christianity from all aspects of public life.
It was a big decision for us to make, because we have to take the kids to school (14 miles). Also my wife just finished nursing school, so we are sort of broke, but it has probably been the best money we have ever spent. Most private schools have open houses, and I would recommend to anyone that they go, so as at least to have more information to make an informed decision.
