Squish, what do you think was the difference in the public and private schools in YOUR situation?? Why did you decide on private?
JR

JR, Our kids too attend a Catholic School. While academics are on par with some of the public schools in our town, I like an environment that reaffirms what we teach at home. The explicit practice of faith in our home is practiced at school too. Very valuable for us.

As I mentioned, academics are equal between Catholic and public here IMO, the deal breaker is the values.

I need to climb on my soapbox for a couple sentences. Your area Catholic school should not be considered "private". It may seem exclusive due to cost, however, if that Catholic School is true to the mission of Catholic education, all are welcome and the poor are accommodated out of mission.
