On a more realistic note, melatonin works for me. I don't know how natural it is.
I'm the same way as you - I don't want to take medication if I can help it, and when I can't sleep, it's because my brain won't shut off. What I use is in a little spray bottle and I spray a couple squirts under my tongue and it seems to work without making me groggy the next morning. Probably use it 2-3 times a month. My wife gets it from a makeup company. Arbonne maybe? Logo looks similar to the pioneer logo.
