I wouldn’t mind an electric tractor/combine if I knew I could reliably charge it, service it, and it supplied the necessary power that I need all while being cost effective compared to the alternative. However, none of that has occurred yet, so I’ll gladly continue to use our diesel engines that have worked very well.

As for size and material constraints, go look at the world’s best super computer from 1960 and then look at the cell phone in your pocket. Your cell phone is leaps and bounds ahead of what they had in regards to computing power, storage and user capability. Those computers took up entire buildings, your phone fits in your pocket.

The days coming where the tech will catch up, but who knows when and who knows if it’ll actually be better, just never say never
