It’s an option that is working for some people. No different than the gas/diesel pickup debate. Which is better ? I can’t say. I have both. The diesels here do most of the heavier pulling jobs. My “good” pickup is gas that primarily could be replaced with an EV. Except for the out of state runs to pull equipment home. I am not anti EV, but leave it as an option, if people make it their choice, so be it. If there are too many negative aspects to it, the market will dwindle. Why does diesel power the ag market ? The dirt moving industry ? OTR trucking ? These were all powered by gasoline at one time. Think “better mousetrap”. My only issue here is the potential mandates. If I’m paying for it, I’ll purchase what I decide is best for me. Longevity for the EV’s is currently a huge concern, IMHO. J
