My fear is one more tier emissions raised, will kill diesel ICE, and is going to bring havoc on a lot of businesses in the US. It will only cause more pollution in other countries, as ag and manufacturing migrate. It’s pretty short sided.

Bringing this point to the electric vehicle, I believe dedicated commuters should absolutely have an electric vehicle. Charging an ev is usually on non peak hours and will flatten the demand curb for electricity. Plus I foresee additional outages and inconsistencies in electricity production, which would allow an ev battery to temporarily power a home. But once again we are relying on other countries to pollute and rape the land to provide these electric vehicles. Thus our green agenda is creating more net pollution globally. The end result is just asinine.
