You need to get more informed, Texas is using the 1km towers as base power supplies. The ability of renewables is changing time for you to educate yourself.



The tallest wind tower in the US is 198 meters to the very tip of the blade at the top of the travel, and it is a one-of-a-kind unit primarily for research.

198 meters is a long way from 1000 meters or 1km.
